16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The first time love is mentioned in the Bible is from this account; the love of a father for his son. Yet the father was willing to sacrifice his son; just like our Heavenly Father was willing to offer up His only Son to save us.
Prayer – Think about the price of love that was paid for us, and ask God to help us live as a sacrifice of love for Him.
