The Door of Temptation

Day 6

Read Proverbs 5:3-8

For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:

Read 1 Corinthians 10:13

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The door mentioned in Proverbs 5:8 is not the temptation nor the sin. It is that which would lead you to the temptation and the sin. STAY AWAY FROM THE DOOR!

Prayer – Ask God to not only keep from you from the temptation, but to keep you from the door that leads to it as well.
