Margaret Ann Jones passed away peacefully on June 27, 2019 in North Carolina surrounded by her husband and children. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert “Bob” Jones; daughter Julie Jones Murrell and husband Dan (Kai, Page and Lane), sons Jeff Jones and wife Jane (Jessica, Jonah, Jasmine, Jada and Josiah), Jay Jones and wife Deane (Jacob, Jenna and Jeremy).A memorial service celebrating the life of Margaret Ann Jones was held at Harvest Baptist Church Saturday, July 13.

Margaret was born in Willow Spring, NC on November 5, 1937 to the late, Early and Verna Page. She graduated from Fuquay Varina High School and attended Hardbargers Business College in Raleigh, NC.

She met her husband Robert Jones in elementary school in Willow Springs, NC.  They started dating in high school, and they were married on August 10, 1957.  They came to Guam in 1961 and have lived in Guam and Saipan since then.

Margaret was a wonderful wife, selfless and gracious mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She worked for the Marianas Travel Agency, then later she worked for Pan American Airlines for 10 years until they closed their Guam office.

In 1984 she and Bob started Triple J Enterprises, Inc. a successful family business where she served as Treasurer until she passed away.

Margaret was passionate about others and a devout woman of faith. She was always involved in her community either through her church or the many charitable organizations and especially the Guam Memorial Hospital Volunteers Association of which she was a founding member.

She leaves behind a legacy not just in her philanthropic work but in the example she set for her family, employees, and organizations in which she was involved and for the island community who will miss her warm smile and compassion.  Her family misses her deeply but takes comfort in knowing that she is now with the Lord.
