Welcome to Harvest

New to Harvest Baptist Church?

Visiting any church for the very first time can be a daunting experience. We hope your first visit here will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family.  We do encourage you to arrive about 10 minutes early so you’ll have time to park and give us time to help you and your family to the right location.

After each service, we welcome everyone to stay and enjoy the fellowship with each other. We take a special time after the Sunday morning services to meet with our guests. We invite them to join us at our campus coffee shop, HeBrews Woldwide Café, to enjoy a free tea or coffee as a thank you for visiting.

If you would like to learn more information about the history, beliefs, and practices of Harvest Baptist Church, consider attending our Foundations Class.

How long are services, and what are they like?

Services generally last about 1 hour and 30 minutes. These services are filled with joyful praise and singing, with a focus on congregational worship. Pastor Gary Walton presents Bible-based messages lasting 30-45 minutes. At the end of the message, Pastor Walton invites anyone who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus to accept Him. There is also time for personal prayer, and counseling is available.

Audio, video, and notes from all of our recent services can be found on our sermons page. And you can always let us know if we can help further.

What Options are available for my children?

Infant – 24 months old

The Harvest Baptist Church nursery provides love and care to all children. Nurturing volunteers help with the care of each child during every service. We provide a clean, safe, and comfortable atmosphere for the children to play, rest, and eat. The infant room (0-12 months) is equipped with swings, walkers, highchairs, bouncers, and beds. The toddler room (12-24 months) is designed to give the children ample room to play inside with an inviting atmosphere of a beautiful garden mural as well as a covered outside area with slides and tricycles. During church, these children will be introduced to Jesus by singing Bible songs on DVD and coloring a Bible story.  Every service the children have a scheduled time of playing outside, snacks and water break, story, songs, coloring, and using the potty or changing diapers.

2 years old – 6th grade:

On Wednesday evenings (Thursdays during June and July), children (2 years – 6th grade) are invited to attend our Children 2 Christ (C2C) program. C2C also meets on Sundays during our scheduled children’s programs.  See our Current Classes and Events page for more information.

7th – 12th grade:

For 7th-12th graders, HEART for Christ is a great place for them to have the opportunity to cultivate friendships with other teenagers and be personally challenged in their walk with God through preaching and personal discipleship. They meet every Wednesday (Thursdays during June and July) and also on Sundays for youth programs. There are also many exciting and life-building activities throughout the year.  See our Current Classes and Events page for more information.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Harvest Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and some of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress such as a collared shirt and pants; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

Harvest Baptist Church does believe tithing is a Biblical principle and we do encourage it. However, our guests should not feel any obligation to participate. We would request that, as a guest, you would fill out a Guest Information card, and we would ask you to drop it in the offering plate.
