Read Hosea 10:12
12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Read Matthew 13:23
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Fallow ground is ground that has been uncultivated for a time—sometimes from laziness or sometimes on purpose—to rest the land for greater production in the future. Hosea is asking God’s people to break up this ground in their hearts and bear spiritual fruit again.
Prayer – Let’s identify the fallow ground in our lives. Give it to God to touch and work for a wonderful harvest.
