Read Psalm 27:1
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Read Psalm 56:3
3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
Read Isaiah 41:10
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Read Hebrews 12:2
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Remember the words of the old Gospel song, “This world is not my home, I’m just a-passing through…”? By setting our hopes on the promises of God’s Word instead of this life, our fears will lessen, and our faith will increase. Meditate on one of His many promises today.
Prayer – Ask God for the strength to trust Him every day in everything.
