Dr. Mike Sproul grew up in an itinerant minister’s home. Mike and his wife Elma have 2 adult children, Dave and Sara. Mike became a USAF Chaplain in 1991, and served at Andersen, AFB, Guam, from 199401996. For 20 years Mike served as the Senior Pastor of Tri City, in Chandler, Arizona, and stayed connected to the military as a Reserve Chaplain and then as an Air National Guard Wing Chaplain with the 161st Air Refueling Wing, Phoenix, AZ. He has been on multiple deployments.
From 2019-2021 he was the Director of the Air National Guard Chaplain Corps in Washington DC. Since that time Mike has served as Senior Pastor at Littleton Baptist Church. On September 1, 2023, Mike was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General. He is the senior Chaplain for the Air National Guard. In this role he is both the primary religious advisor to the director of the Air National Guard (three-star) and the Air Force Chief of Chaplains (two-star) for all things pertaining to the Air National Guard religious accommodation, free exercise, resiliency, readiness and training of the chaplain corps, and the spiritual morale of 108,000 airmen. He is also an adjunct professor for International Baptist College and Seminary as well as Maranatha Baptist University.
