Men’s Prayer Breakfast – April

Hafa adai! I trust your schedule this weekend will include our Men’s Prayer Breakfast tomorrow morning at 8:00. Bring a friend with you for what has become a wonderful time of fellowship, good food, a challenge from Dr. Dustin Prins as well as time to pray together as men of our church!

This coming Sunday is Palm Sunday. Together, in our Morning Worship Service, we will be looking at the road to triumph which is so easily forgotten. The Lord calls us also to crucify ourselves with Christ (Galatians 5:24). Make a day of it and come for our Family Bible Hour where we will have the opportunity to hear a mission report from Dr. Yoh Shirato on his trip to the Philippines as well as Malaysia. We will also hear from two of our Harvest Baptist Bible College students as Roland Padock shares his testimony and Klinton Ethuemar preaches. It will be a great evening together.

Palm Sunday is the start of what, historically, is known as Holy Week. Next week is one where true believers remember with pain, grief and sorrow all the events that led up to the crucifixion of Christ on Friday. I hope that each day next week you will take a little extra time to thank Him for the payment He made of giving His own life on the Cross for our redemption as He became our Passover lamb and encourage you to use Good Friday as a day to reflect on all that Christ has done for us.

A week from this Sunday, of course, is our Resurrection Celebration. We will be having two services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with a Continental Breakfast in-between them from 9:30-11:30 a.m. What a great time to take the sadness of the Cross and see it turned into joy, as we celebrate a living Christ.

In His Service,

Pastor Herron
