45th Anniversary

Hafa Adai, Harvest family!

This Sunday, October 25, we will celebrate 45 years of Harvest Baptist Church ministry!  What an amazing legacy we have!  God has been so good to us!

Though we are not able to celebrate in the way we expected (we are going to plan a big, postponed “45th Anniversary” fiesta next year), we still want to celebrate God’s faithfulness to us this Sunday!  And I want to personally invite you to join in this time.  We are working on an anniversary video, along with a number of other special memories.  And, I have asked former pastors, Pastor Lewis and Pastor Herron, to join us for a live, video conference call in both the 9 AM and 11 AM services.

Sunday evening will be especially sweet – and an awesome picture of what has made Harvest special over all these years.  First, I want you to be encouraged that God has been at work while our island has been shut down!  We have 9 people who have been waiting to share publically their faith in Jesus and follow Him in baptism.  For sure, COVID is not winning in the most important areas!  We will also gather around the communion table together and celebrate Christ’s work for us!  It is going to be a sweet night of fellowship and, if you are able, I hope you will make it a priority to join with the church family on this special evening.

Please continue to pray for our island and the increase in positive COVID cases.  Our ministry response team has clear guidelines in place to ensure that all appropriate protocols are being followed on our campus, using guidance by DPHSS and physician counsel.  Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

I can’t wait to see you this Sunday and celebrate God’s faithfulness to us!

Thankful that Jesus Changes Lives,

Pastor Gary Walton
